For my master's thesis at New Mexico State University, I worked with my advisor, Dr. Hamilton, and fellow student, Preeti De Maurya to design and run a participatory design study.
During the study, we met with three New Mexico teachers with dyslexia intervention experience and discussed the methods they have found helpful when teaching students with dyslexia how to read and write. Additionally, we discussed teaching challenges they have faced, the solutions they found, and what information teachers would want from an educational video game for students with dyslexia.
Using this information, I started developing Abadaba, an educational video game to teach students with dyslexia how to read and write. For more information, check out my thesis on ResearchGate.
